Port Huron, Michigan, auto supplier, Eissmann Group Automotive hopes to add another 50 jobs in 2016 and as many as 300 people by 2018. Currently, the German Company has submitted preliminary plans for an 88,000 square-foot expansion to its 60,000 square-foot building in the Port Huron Industrial Park.
Eissmann Group Automotive is headquartered in Bad Urach, Germany. The company does leather interior production and prototype development for luxury vehicles, including models of the Ford Explorer, Lincoln MKC, Lincoln MKX and the new Jeep Grand Cherokee Reserve.
Eissmann received an $850,000 grant in 2014 from the state of Michigan through the Michigan Business Development program. The company currently employs 108 people, but as promised as part of the grant, the company intends to meet the 233 projected jobs in three years (from opening).
