TechPort’s Harbor Muskies Program has some exciting news!
Spartan Innovations at the Michigan State University Innovation Center has selected the TechPort’s Harbor Muskies to host a GreenLight Port Huron Business Model Competition in Port Huron. Their gracious sponsorship of this event will provide us with the funding to launch this first-ever GreenLight Port Huron start-up business pitch event in our community. The business model competition is hosted by TechPort, the TechPort Harbor Muskies, Spartan Innovations, Pure Michigan, the Economic Development Alliance (EDA) of St. Clair County, St. Clair County Community College and TechPort Soup.
Entrants will pitch for a chance to win over $10,000 in start-up cash. The first place winner of Green Light Port Huron will receive over $5,000, free start-up support resources, Harbor Muskie mentorship and a guaranteed free seat in the Michigan GreenLight Competition, held on March 31, 2015 in East Lansing. The GreenLight Michigan Competition has more than $50,000 in possible prizes to be earned in East Lansing this coming March, 2015.
