Port Huron, MI – McLaren Port Huron will increase its ability to serve the health care needs of the Blue Water community by opening its fifth community health center on Feb. 2.
The new McLaren Port Huron St. Clair Community Health Center is located in the St. Clair Landing Shopping Center at 1163 South Carney Drive, St. Clair, next door to Nieman’s Market. The 8,000 square foot building features a total of 14 exam rooms, radiology services, laboratory collection, and will offer a combination of primary care and multi-specialty care.
Half of the facility will be occupied full-time by McLaren Medical Group’s primary care physician Laura Lucio-Reincke, MD, a medical provider based in St. Clair. Dr. Lucio-Reincke specializes in family medicine, with subspecialties in pediatrics, dermatology and women’s care.
“Currently, there is an unmet need for access to primary care physicians. Dr. Lucio-Reincke has practiced locally since 2002 and has established relationships with many patients in the St. Clair community,” says Dave McEwen, VP operations, McLaren Port Huron. “We welcome Dr. Lucio-Reinke to McLaren, and look forward to working more closely with her.”
The other half of the new health center will offer specialty care services provided on a rotating basis by various local specialists. Among the first specialties offered at the center will be orthopedics provided by Advanced Orthopedics physicians Leonard Karadimas, DO; Timothy Lukas, MD; and Robert Carson, DO.
“The new center is an ideal location for Advanced Orthopedics. Many patients travel north to Port Huron from the St. Clair community for orthopedics care. We are excited to offer patients more convenience by practicing in two locations,” says Timothy Lukas, MD.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held in March to introduce the center and its services to the community. For more information, visit the McLaren Port Huron website a twww.mclaren.org/phstclairhc.
McLaren Port Huron also operates four other community health centers in Yale, Capac, Marysville and Lexington. Information about these existing centers may be found online atwww.mclaren.org/phchc.
