Come to St. Clair – Small Business Incentive Program: Small Projects

The City of St. Clair has established the Small Business Incentive Program to provide forgivable loans to cover 50% of a business’s moving expense, leasehold improvements or rent to a maximum of $5,000. The qualifying business must locate within the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) district and can receive a loan of $3.00 for every square foot it rents/buys to a maximum of $5,000. The loans do not bear any interest, nor are any principle payments required. When the business has its five year anniversary, and has no outstanding obligations to the City, the loan will be forgiven.
