Road: I-94 and I-69 provide fast service to Detroit, Flint and beyond to Chicago. Both originate at the Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron of St. Clair County, where they join Canadian Highway 402 routing east to Toronto or upper New York State. Numerous freight hauling companies serve the area including internationally licensed operators.

I-69 enters the area from the west, coming from Lansing and Flint, terminating at the approach to the Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron.

I-94 enters the Port Huron area from the southwest, having traversed the entire Metro Detroit region, and, along with I-69, terminates at the approach to the Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron. On the Canadian side of the border, in Sarnia, Ontario, the route heads easterly designated as Highway 402.

M-25 follows the Lake Huron/Saginaw Bay shoreline, beginning in Bay City and ending in at junction I-94/I-69, and BL I-94/BL I-69 on the north side of the city.

M-29 begins at BL I-94 in Marysville just south of the city and continues southerly.

M-136 runs west from M-25 to M-19.

Highway 402 (Ontario) begins in Sarnia, Ontario, across the river from Port Huron and at the eastern end of the Blue Water Bridge.


Rail: Two class I railroad freight railroad operate in Port Huron (St. Clair County).

CN North America serves basic east-west routing and links with Canadian carriers via the "double stack" International Tunnel completed in 1996. CN also offers service to Toledo and Cincinnati and provides a connection with southern railways via the Cincinnati Gateway and access to the Ohio River at both Ironton and Cincinnati.

Detroit Metropolitan International Airport offering 160 non-stop around the globe is approximately 75 miles southwest of Port Huron (approximatley 1 hour). Flint Bish International Airport (also approximately 1 hour or less from Port Huron) provides easy access to most flight routes in the U.S. without the congestion of a major carrier hub.
